Underground internal combustion LHD is suitable for earthwork operation, not for stonework operation. It can still operate with a small amount of stone and soil. However, if it encounters slightly larger stones, wood, metal or obstacles during soil shoveling, it shall be stopped immediately for removal. It is forbidden to operate the scraper in stagnant clay or rainy weather. In the zone exceeding the limit of comprehensive gradient, i.e. longitudinal gradient > 10% and transverse gradient > 18%, it is not allowed to work in order to avoid dumping or excessive stress on one side of the tire.

For the maintenance of accessories of underground internal combustion LHD, generally lift the bucket door first, and then lift the bucket. Try to avoid lifting the bucket when the bucket door is completely closed, which is conducive to the protection of bucket door mechanism and hydraulic pipeline. Before excavating and loading, retract the unloading device to the back of the bucket, open the bucket door and lower the bucket close to the ground.

When shoveling soil, the bucket should be cut into the soil slowly, and the height of the bucket door from the ground should be controlled at about 300mm. When excavating hard ground and loading clay, move the bucket up and down. If the soil conditions are bad, the bulldozer shall be used for boosting. At this time, special attention shall be paid not to damage the rear wheel tire of the scraper with the bulldozer plate of the boosting machine.

When shoveling and transporting soil, try to arrange shoveling and transporting soil on the downhill. In this way, the component force of machinery can be used to reduce the power consumption of tractor and improve productivity. When the scraper works on the ramp, pay attention to the penetration depth of the blade and do not overload the operation. Do not shovel soil when turning, because the shaft frame is prone to deformation and damage when subjected to transverse force.

The manufacturer of LHD accessories shall first formulate the walking route of LHD operation, and the turning points shall be as few as possible, and they are on the return trip, so as to facilitate the driving of machinery. When towing the scraper, do not turn a sharp turn less than 100 °, but turn back. When passing through potholes, try to use low speed to bypass the deep potholes above 700mm. During soil borrowing and unloading, the road needs to be leveled, and it is better to move forward in a straight line. The length of the working section shall not be less than the length necessary to fill the bucket (about 30m). The length of the unloading section shall be enough to enable the bucket to unload the soil before reaching the end point. It is more economical and advantageous to transport the soil at a distance of 50 ~ 500m.
